Seriously you must be Joking!

Been following this story for the fun of it over the last few days. I know by now all you guys must know what I am going to say but here goes. How much more can the media stoop to. Its like they are "breaking barriers" each day! For those few of you wondering it turns out that the "sting reporter" and the "traficked girl" were both hired by a person who had some grudge against the poor teacher. In the meantime the damage has been done and her reputation is not comin back and neither is the fact that she was beaten brutally in public. Really even if there was a case which there dosnt seem to be whatevr happened to Innocent until proven guilty? The police seem to have acted on media reports rather than do their job which is carry out an "in-ves-ti-ga-tion". Their policy in most of this seems to " abhey saale angraze mat jadho"... Really even if she was traficking women and she might be .. she might be no paragon of virtue.. I dont know .. but its a democracy for godsake.. why dont ppl go to Laloo prasad yadav or "K" s house and beat them up! Now I am just day dreaming.. but seriously do any of you guys see a way out of this hole we have dug ourselves into or are we just tunneling to china!

What nonsense are you talking? The lady has committed a sin! Our Indian traditions command us to respect women and this 'lady' has been compromising the life of young girls!! And the media did the right thing too. Had it not been for their daredevil investigation such a scandal would never have been uncovered. We should appreciate the effort put in by the media. We should have them investigate everything in our lives. Wives cheating their husbands (and not vice versa), bribe receiving politicians, soliciting teachers should all be monitored by such undercover sting operations.
And of course police should directly use whatever the media gives as evidence and proceed.
We are enlightened Democracy. And you are just plain jealous of it.
Go to Afghanistan you pariah!

It has sadly become a race to the bottom. This incident led to violence on the streets of Delhi and it is now said that the reporter in question instigated people to riot. The channel in question is Live India TV. I am not sure whether this is the same channel that sensationalised the 'casting couch' episode.I think we should be happy if things remain the same for they are only expected to get worse as the competition intensifies.

the commenters! go and see the movie "Mounam Sammadam" again.

An accused is only an accused untill he/she is convicted.

even if the accused surrenders, it is the duty of the law to consider "What if 'the otherwise' is true?". Here nothing seems to happen. Even Shankarraman murder case. I am not supporting anyone here, but my accusation is: the law enforcement is always one-dimensional these days.
